Oh Hello There!

Oh Hi!

Don’t worry, you are still at the right place. Just that, things might look a wee bit different. Okay, a lot different. But change is good non? Especially when we’ve been on this ride for a whole decade. Welcome to the whole new High Heel Confidential!

We might have gotten a facelift but deep down, we are still the same. You will still see the daily fashion-centric updates you’ve come to expect. But expect more now! With additions to the team we are looking to bring you more content you can consume. Aside from the daily celebrity sightings, expect to see features, guest columns, interviews etc.

We are striving to keep the same sense of community on the blog, so you will see your comments pop up on the main page as they come in. Hello tribe! The comment policy is the same so we’ll need your help in keeping this a safe space for all. The content is more accessible and you should be able to find what you want more easily. And for that which is not your jam, passing the toast is that much easier.

There’s a calendar to keep track of all fashion-related events, tabs to access relevant content far more easily, a way to shop our picks when you choose to, and keeping up with us on Instagram is a cinch. Whew!

Having been part of this space for a whole decade, our tastes, our preferences, our likes have all evolved and changed. It’s only natural then that the blog evolves with it as well, and reflects that change. We hope you enjoy this new avatar. Some of you may need some time to warm up to it, some may take to it right away. Some of you may have complaints, some valued feedback. We welcome it all.

The last ten years have been amazing and we hope you stick with us for the coming ten. You will see more, that’s a promise. Our tribe is what made High Heel Confidential special and we thank you. We wouldn’t have lasted a whole decade without you!

Now grab you beverage of choice, sit back and enjoy the ride. Cheers to us!

P.S. A huge shoutout to Gurmeet for nudging us to to do the redesign and providing feedback constantly!

In Tony Ward

As part of Jagga Jasoos promotions, Katrina and Ranbir attended the second day of SIIMA festivities where the former was seen in a yellow Tony Ward gown. The lemon colored gown sure looked good on her but the more welcome change here was the updo. Just wish it was a bit more neater.

In Prabal Gurung

Latest round of movie promotions had Katrina wearing a Prabal Gurung dress. And a pair of Sophia Webster sandals rounded out the look. A look right up her alley and the dress, well in her comfort zone. But even though she wears it all well, the same ol’ hair and make-up makes the whole look low on impact.

In Shriya Som

It was a feathered Shriya Som gown for Lavanya while at the recent awards event. Side-swept hair, red lip, diamond jewelry and nude sandals rounded out the actor’s look. Though she wears the gown well, there was just something about the look that felt lacking. Metallic/statement sandals, a striking lip color and more seamless lining on the bodice would’ve gone a long in elevating this look. As it stands, this was a Not Quite.

In KM By Kanika Manchanda

At the SIIMAs, Pranitha was photographed in a frothy KM By Kanika Manchanda gown. An updo in place, she finished out the look with soft make-up and earrings from Belleza. Can’t say we were big fans of the gown, but there’s no denying she wore it well.
