At the Glamour And Style Awards held last evening, Sayani was photographed in a Samant Chauhan gown. Mahesh Notandass earrings, rings from Amavi and a clutch by Boga rounded out the actor’s look. She wore her gown well.

Oh boy, there’s so much to talk about the 1988 film, ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’. But let’s limit ourselves to that one pivotal part of the movie- that post-makeover point in the plot-line where Fashion had as much of a starring role as Rekha did in the movie.

All of Eighties excesses were given the ‘Bollywood’ treatment and refined down to its campiest, is-a-model-must-be-debauched vampy, glamorous essence. And quite frankly, can’t imagine anyone but Rekha braving the lamé.

Let’s not forget the epic dance-off. Mo’ fashunn! Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I give you this-
Yes, it didn’t age well. But it’d be unfair to write off the part cringe-y-part awesome fashion in this movie. It pretty much summed up the average moviegoer’s perception of “high fashion” then and looking back, it offers a unique insight into the time. Perfect for a throwback!
Also, the lamé. So. Much. Lamé.

At an art exhibition, Jacqueline sported a Shehlaa creation which by the looks of it felt like some sort of fusion sari gown. Unfortunately, even Ms. Fernandez with her bangin’ bod couldn’t sell it to me. Between the bustier top with its sheer full sleeves and the matching choker, this outfit just looked ridiculous. To me, anyways.

For the taping of Vogue BFF, Sonakshi sported a blue Lavish Alice suit with clear pvc sandals and earrings from Misho. Although I haven’t personally warmed up to the asymmetric ruffle pants, I do like them when styled well. Can’t say that was the case here though. Wearing them with that blazer that also had its exaggerated sleeves made the look feel a bit clownish.
I, clearly, didn’t like this. Did you?
