The look felt completely fresh and very youthful and a bit of that credit also goes to the fact that she went bling-free.

In Atelier Zuhra

It was gold for Ms. Kapoor at the Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards who wore a strapless gown from Dubai based label Atelier Zuhar. Going by their in-house professionally shot pictures, one immediately went Whoa!. Especially where the gown with its sudden flare gives an illusion of a very narrow waist.

But, now that I’ve seen the pictures at the actual event, my reaction is not quite the same. Sure, she wears the gown well, and pairing it with the headpiece was a good way of not making the look feel overkill but frankly, the look felt a bit too Dolce & Gabbana-esque and I wish she would go for more youthful looks at these awards events instead of the princess/voluminous skirt look she seems to favor quite a bit.

At the Style Awards, Katrina was photographed in a Jean Paul Gaultier gown. Sleek hair, nude lip, earrings from Outhouse and a pair of classic pumps rounded out the actor’s look well.

Not much of a risk taker when it comes to her sartorial choices, Katrina sure surprised us with her choice. It made for a welcome change of pace! It also helped that she worked every bit of that tricky, tricky gown. I like!

In Galia Lahav

For her appearance at an awards event, Kareena picked a Galia Lahav gown to wear. A centre-parted sleek do, smokey eyes and brown lip rounded out the actor’s look.

As intricate as the lace gown was, it did absolutely nothing for the actor. Together the severe hair, lackluster make-up and fussy top-half of the gown only compounded the problem. Not one of Ms. Kapoor’s better sightings!

At the awards event last night, Neha was photographed in a Gaurav Gupta gown. Wearing her hair up, she rounded out the look with smokey eyes, a box clutch and Farah Khan necklace.

As well as she wears the gown, it wasn’t quite a home-run and the jewelry might be to blame. Wish she had left the choker out; it instantly dated the look.
