Sari Style

Rekha was seen at the Jain-Advani wedding in her black kanjeevaram sari worn with a full-sleeve blouse, a whole lotta jewellery that included a matha patti and an embellished gold potli.

Now, Filmfare pointed out that we’ve seen this at Black premiere back in 2005 but we’ve also seen Rekha wear the same kanjivaram many times since then as well on these pages itself. Catch a few here and here.

Some of you who have heard me talk about #Wearsions (wearing things from one’s own wardrobe differently every outing) but damn, Rekha is kicking our butts with the many ways she has styled this sari and continues to do so with all others.

In Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Ms. Singh wore an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla yellow lehenga featuring resham work embroidery to the Jain-Advani wedding. I am on the fence about the dupatta draping here but the lehenga sure was pretty. She finished out her outfit with an Hermès Medor clutch.

In Iqbal Hussain

Mrs. Kapoor attended the Jain-Advani wedding wearing a velvet kurta suit by Iqbal Hussain. The kurta had its own intricate embroidery along the neckline but that didn’t stop her from wearing another decadent gold long necklace and choker. The thing is, she somehow makes it work and makes it look good. On others, it wouldn’t. And that, everyone, is innate style.

In Rimple and Harpreet

Bhavana was seen in a Rimple and Harpreet salwar kurta paired with a gold clutch. I see the outfit on the model and instantly love but not sure why when I saw it on Bhavana, I felt like it overwhelmed her a bit. Just me feeling that way?

In Torani

Suhana wore a white lehenga from Torani to the Jain-Alekha wedding pairing it with two diamond and emerald chokers to give the look some color. Would’ve preferred an orange tone red lip here.
