The main awards event saw Ms. Bharucha in a jeweled top and benarasi brocade skirt from Monisha Jaising paired with a kundan long necklace. Hip up, I was really digging this look until I saw the full skirt. Instead of falling smoothly, the heavy fabric was adding a whole lot of bulk and looked rather awkward, especially at the slit.

I would’ve preferred a smaller choker type necklace instead of the large one she has on. That necklace is competing for attention with the blouse, and the skirt.
This belongs at a Sangeet , not a awards show
I like it, it’s a fresh take on a lehenga, uses heritage brocade and she’s petite enough to rock that choli without looking vulgar. I’d have chosen different footwear but I guess she needed the height
I think that she looks nice. I would have preferred a different colour though.
Should the lipstick have matched the maroon of the skirt? Also, I wonder if leaving her hair down would have balanced the volume of the skirt?
