In Twos
At Amrita Arora’s 40th birthday bash, Natasha was also in attendance and was spotted wearing a blue Maria Lucia Hohan chiffon dress at the main party and a Gucci fringe leather jacket while on the way there.
Wish we had better pics of the Hohan!

Although the pics aren’t as clear she does look good from what we can see. Love the jacket.
Bollywood celebs seem to get away with cultural appropriation. Ignorance or arrogance, I wonder?
Exactly what I was thinking! Probably the former, I’d say.
Oh Please!!! Shes just wearing something remotely related to the Navajo culture, not even claiming it to be her long lost identity or past life acquaintance! Esp knowing Miss Poonawalla, she picked up whatever she deems “expensive enough” to appear fashionable to the hoi-poi!
Cracking up at the “expensive enough” comment. You nailed it. 😀
I don’t think the comment was associated to Ms. Poonawalla’s jacket, but to many of the participants wearing what appears to be Native American headdresses in these and other photographs. Exactly why you would need to wear said headdress with sequined skimpy outfits at a pool party is not clear, thus the query about cultural appropriation/ignorance/arrogance. If there was an inside joke that the world is not privy about, the prudent/educated option would have been to withhold photos with the headdress from social media.
meant to say “targeted to” (multitasking here)…
love the blue dress… sexyy and fun
So much leather to Goa??
Are they actually that dumb and ignorant that they are wearing Native American head gears?!
“…something related to the Navajo culture…”
So you either know for certain that this type of headdress is of the Navajo Nation, or you’re lumping together hundreds of indigenous tribes, with diverse peoples and cultures under “Navajo culture.”
its a fashion site, not anthropology 101. are we really digressing to the various indigenous tribes of north america while commenting on a page 3 celebrity’s dress at a has-been B grade bollywood celebrity’s birthday bash in Goa?
“B grade bollywood party in Goa”. LOL!
Have you people ever heard about theme party
Having a teme party with a theme full of ignorance still doesnt excuse cultural appropriation. Wearing a headdress as an ‘accessory’ or for kicks at a ‘theme’ party is equally ignorant as having blackface as a party theme.
So yes, I have heard of theme party. But I have also heard of insensitivity.
Additionally, wearing a headdress with a sequined party dress doesn’t exactly add up to a “theme”. It’s an insensitive attempt at “cool” that went horribly wrong.
PS: if this really was a theme party, why were the men not in costume?
