It was all black for Mrunal on the way to Cannes and also for her first photoshoot in the city. Because it was a photoshoot, the oversized sequin blazer and lace pants works for me. Not sure if I would care for the look in real life with the proportions being so off.

Oh my yuck.. wish she’d Continue in the airport suit.. looks so strong n stylish. I wish now Indian actors would stop the Cannes/academy/met/Grammy xyz entries to dress like this.

The thought of the lace trousers getting caught in heels and getting torn horribly is constantly playing in my mind. The pose is so bad. Wish these actors didn’t have to suffer such atrocities.

How many celebs are going to Cannes this year? Not that I am against it but who/which brand are they representing on the red carpet or are they promoting a movie?
Cannes red carpets are not just about the movie stars whose movies are showing. Major sponsors of the festival send their brand ambassadors. Aishwarya is attending as part of Loreal. Mrunal is attending as part of Grey Goose’s tie up. Esha was representing FICCI and I believe so is Sara. Anushka is also supposed to attend.

Mrunal, you stole our hearts with your beautiful saree looks. Did you have to go the bollywierd route and offer us these tacktastic atrocities. These modified swimsuit pantsuits are doing nothing for you. Do you or your stylist believe that you cannot promote Grey Goose in a beautiful saree and bring on some dignified Indian representation at a world stage, hmmm?
Proportions are off , hopefully it’s only a photo shoot & she didn’t step out like that !!
