Taping for her dance reality series saw Madhuri in a blue Gaurav Gupta sari and a purple Anamika Khanna dhoti skirt set featuring an ornate cape.
Like either or neither. Or both? Loved her in the GG. As for the Anamika, I haven’t warmed up to this skinny pallu strip design element that just about all outfits come with these days.

Only the colors are nice. Less said about the outfits themselves, the better
The GG also has a skinny pallu element tho!
But not as glaringly eye-catching as it is with the Anamika. Like with such an ornate cape, why does one add the pallu element too. I just have frustration over the outfit being overdesigned, but that’s me! 😛
Both looks supremely tacky. Ah how I miss Mads the Star vs Mads the soap-er star in the outrageously loud and lousy outfits, make up and hair the last decade that “fashionably” continues to depreciate. Not that her dress sense was any better even in movies (remember the scary Saajan dresses!), but this TV avatar takes her to a totally new high level of loud n tacky, while completely stripping the charm and pedestal that she used to be on.
Compare that to the uniqueness of Kajol/ Raveena/ Karishma who continue to make waves by not succumbing (as much) to the flashiness and going with well spaced outings. And their sartorial senses have also stayed fairly well.
I think her fashion caters to her tv show audience . Same goes for Shilpa Shetty . Most of the times .
These shows are quite curated to the audience and viewers who watch it regularly . Down to the kind of clothes , makeup , music , hosts , jokes and even emotions they show ( aka so called reality shows ). Ekta Kapoor serials are a classic example .
I still believe the stars could and should have a say (like Sonali looks delish though shes so much on TV). This just boils down to the (bad) fashion choices and personal taste of the stars
The GG is lines galore. Any which way you look, it’s a bunch of lines
I quite like the blue outfit. She’s looking great in it and I love the restrain with the accessories. Love the hair too.
The purple one has nice colour combo. Just a lil busy, maybe would have looked better without the cape.

I don’t understand why Madhuri wears these loud outfits. She really doesn’t need to wear such garish clothes. She’s so beautiful that simple sophisticated outfits like the ones in Dil toh pagal hai would look great on her.
GG is chic waist down.. the AK is too busy
