In Namrata Joshipura
At the Style Icons event, Kriti was seen in a strapless Namrata Joshipura gown featuring a contrast sparkly bust. Having seen Ms. Sanon look so good at the SN store launch, this outing didn’t really stand up to it and I blame the gown itself. It wasn’t that good. Just cuz a designer has been around for a while doesn’t mean stylists should feel forced to put their clients in their creations.

I think she still looks good.
If she did not have those gloves on and the bottom ruffles panned better, this could have looked more impactful.
Just so-so as such.
You know, for the first time in a long time, I’ve felt that she’s looked really good – specifically that she has a “presence” in this appearance. She’s a pretty gal, tall, great body, but most times, she just looks like a mannequin. Here she is shining through. Not sure why that is, but maybe something to do with the make-up and hair.
Never seen you make such a comment for MM/AJSK. They have been around for a really long time and yet we see their ridiculous clothes on a regular basis.
I think Kriti’s outift could have been better styled.
We call them out as well and here are some of the recent one which you seem to have missed.

Great job, Payal defending yourself. This is your blog and I personally think that for the most part you guys stay true to yourselves in your critique. Your critique has got a bit safe over time, and sometimes you just post pictures without actually providing your opinion, but otherwise, I don’t get the sense that you play favorites.
My comment was in reference to your point about just because a designer has been around for a long time stylists shouldn’t feel forced to put their clients in their creations. I don’t see similar comments when stylists repeatedly use a MM or a AJSK creation. Why force stars to wear their tacky clothes when there are better options out there? And Namrata Joshipura sightings have significantly reduced. She was quite popular at one time.
Namrata just showed at Lakme Fashion Week and there is the pattern amongst stylists to be the first to place fresh off the runway pieces on their clients. Hence the note here. It is unrelated to Kriti. Also, have we settled on the “M”? Have seen you make several comments under many pseudo-names.
My comments too had nothing to do with Kriti but just the designers. As long as my comments pass your moderation policy, I don’t see how it matters what I call my self. But thank you for indulging me.
Payal, why did you even present proof. This a personal blog. If the negative nancies can’t get along, they shouldn’t follow you. You are being too nice. Is it valued and appreciated?
I wish the dress was all black or all blue. Her makeup is smoking here !!
I have never seen such a direct comment on a designer or stylist. .. for even worse outfits . Bias towards Kriti is obvious
I think post Deepika’s gloved appearance at the Oscars, we will see many more such looks … well into the summer !! That would be fun.
this blue and black is such a bad combination — neither color allows the other to shine. this’d looked way more passable in all black.
like the make-up here — she’s someone who rarely has shade goof-ups.
This dress is ridiculous! Kriti some how looks stunning!
Why does this look remind of Batman/ superman? Lol
