Kirti attended the screening of her movie wearing a pleated blue and black pleated saree with a velvet halter black blouse. Given the metallic black pallu, I feel like a white top might have worked better here. The velvet black shade and the metallic black wasn’t gelling well together. She looked nice nevertheless.

Disagree. This works as-is. White, Black and Blue would have looked hotchpotch.
Personally, a white blouse most definitely wouldn’t work bettter than what she has on. Rather something in shades of the metallic blue that’s in the pleats or gray might do it.
