Unless you live under a rock, you know JLo was in India to perform at a big fat wedding and during one of the events prior to her performance was seen in a pink lattice pattern sari from Manish Malhotra with diamond and russian emerald jewellery. The bust was a bit too snug but she wore it well. First time I’ve seen a a maang tikka that didn’t look overtly costumey.

Hi Payal, I rarely comment over the tone of your posts but assuming if someone here is living under a rock over not knowing that an intenational celebrity visited India to attend someones wedding who is highly previliged, seems like a matter not so important when there are already a zillion issues we are facing as an individual and a human race, collectively.
That said, that bustier/starpless top doesnt seem to fit well on her,nevertheless, she looks gorgeous.

Well, the fact that all of us are reading and commenting on this site. If we’re all here discussing celebrity outfits, I think we’ve collectively forfeited the “there are bigger issues in the world” argument. ?
Respectfully, not necessarily. The ‘all or nothing’ approach never works, just like how if one likes jalebis they can’t just keep eating that, or someone lamenting over too much social media cannot suddenly leave it all and live in the jungle. This site is, for many, an escape mechanism from just that – the overwhelming problems of the world we face in some measure every day. Simple 🙂
All that aside, JLo does look lovely. Like a desi girl from the block 😀
I wonder if the readers will show the same level of outrage and judgement with the cleavage as they do for our actors. I hope they don’t but that will also mean their bias is steeped in misogyny and racial inferiority. Just saying!

I don’t think the bias stems from racial inferiority so much as giving non-Indians a free pass due to their culturally inherent way of dressing (excess cleavage show is kosher in western fashion).
BW female celebrities can write the guidebook and dictionary on vulgarity.
From talk shows to pooja pandals they are near nude. The man next to them is fully clothed mysteriously.

The bust fit is hazardous.. was she given this pumped up version intentionally.. I feel the hw artists are sexualised way more in their rare India appearances… probably talked into by Indian designers and stylists. Even her performance outfits were hooker cringe…
Styling is on brand for J Lo. She knows what she is doing.
While that blouse looks unbreathable and not for me if I were to wear it – she looks amazing though. A star that she is!!
I think she looks stunning. The choice of clothing and jewelry and rockstar worthy….would have loved it if she had performed in an indian outfit….rather than her wild leotards.
