Janhvi was seen at the Shankar-Karthikeyan reception in a lehenga from Tarun Tahiliani‘s 2023 Couture collection. I do love that skirt but that rhinestone top and mesh cape, not so much.

Nope… the change from cape into balloon sleeves has made it look dated. She has also drooped down the neckline making it look like a tube top.

Here’s the thing with these on-trend lehengas. After a point, the embroidery, the color palette, the cholis (or what passes for them) all merge into one. There’s nothing that distinguishes a TT lehenga from an MM one. Given they’re Bollywood’s faves for occasion wear, you’d think they’d put in a bit more effort in experimentation and innovation.
Or, just choose one of the hundreds of handloom weave sarees of the country.

There is just no personality to the outfit.
