Janhvi and Khushi attended the store launch of Swadesh wearing custom Manish Malhotra who used woven fabric from Swadesh to create their costumes. Janhvi’s corset sharara was quite interesting but I didn’t care for Khushi outfit one bit. That cutout jumpsuit/jacket wasn’t my cup of tea.
Following is not related to the Kapoors but goes more about the celebs at this event. I know am late to the commentary (was busy prepping for my Kathak exam) but these collab creations with designers defeats the purpose of the messaging of this initiative. If am not mistaken, it is meant to highlight the art and craft and artisans and this was the one occasion, these celebs could’ve opted for simple pieces that highlighted the artisan without the additional “designer” element. They wear designer almost every other day.

100% agree. This was such a beautiful opportunity that was all but wasted…, but that does not surprising considering the level of sever and sensibilities most Bollywood starlets have
And for the record, the outfits did not even look pretty. They look pretty meh

Can’t help but feel like they came off an apocalypse to manage looking as designer as possible with random pieces. Kinda beats the Swaadeshi theme.

Re Jahnvi, this of not a bad outfit per se, but am just so tired of seeing her in bombshell mode Every. Single. Time.
Have seen worst than Kushi in these HHC pages so I dont mind Kushi’a also.
But too much brown in that look, either the blazer should have been skipped or the corset should have been something like Jahnvi’s to give some contrast.
The dupatta kind of thing on Jahnv’s outfit looks weird. May be atleast only keeping on one side would have looked better than on both sides.
