Genelia attended the Gowariker-Kanakia reception on Sunday evening wearing a bandhini gajji silk sari and embroidered patola blouse from Label Anushree. Am on the fence about whether the parandi works here but she looked nice nevertheless.

I like how the parandi picks up the turquoise in her kadas but I’m on the fence about these dull colors in bandhani.

Looks like Parandi is going to be a trend, Genelia, Alia ….. The fit of the blouse seems to be more of any issue at the armhole… 🙁 Otherwise she looks so good
She is usually onpoint but this look is falling flat. especially the color of the saree is dull with what is traditionally seen in a bandini saree. I like the hair accessory and to me she has the best accessory in Bollywood and that is her dazzling smile. She is a beauty!
This should be a simple and graceful look, but falls flat as already mentioned I think similarity of scale/size of the motifs on the saree and the blouse is to be blamed here. If the scale of pattern on the blouse had been smaller and on a more solid color base, it might have worked. Right now every element is fighting for attention and not letting one be the hero here.

Shes looking so lovely here, and I quite loved the parande on her! It falls nicely and connects to the colors of her outfit (vs Alia’s that was so random and stuck out oddly like a metal wire)
