I am not a big fan of rosette-style appliques (most of you already know that) but I still loved Farah in this royal blue BCBG dress all because of the color. But, why-oh-why did she pick a clutch of the exact same color. It pretty much blended into the dress.

  1. Oh i liked everything in this dress +her yummy shoes…..wait a min…I see gold shoes and her silver bangle +silver touch in clutch.
Is it allowd…? to have 2 diffrnt metallic tones in whole attire.

    • It really depends on how you carry it off and what accesories you pair together and what outfit you wear it with.

Good examples of dual metallic tones (in my opinion) would be Louis Vuitton’s paper-chain inspired necklaces in gold and silver or the Mathew Williamson dress featured on this site

But at the end of the day fashion is personal and subjective, so nothing is ‘allowed’ or ‘not allowed’. If there is anything that women like Lady Gaga or SJP (and closer home Priya Kishore) have taught us, it is that style has no clear cut rules
