Disha wore a metallic brown sari featuring an embellished halter blouse to Manish’s Diwali party. You know, I am very open-minded when it comes to draping. A 6 yard is a fluid piece and can be worn however the wearer pleases. But, Ms. Patani here sure tested my boundaries and left me exasperated. Hard No for me!

I’m all for experimenting, but this feels more like a love letter to a curtain than to the beauty of a sari. Who needs elegance when abs are involved? I’m all for creativity, but this one feels like the sari itself is silently weeping in the corner.
OK hear me out. Outfit idea. Sarong wrap, bikini blouse. Wait…never mind.
This is like when you can’t afford a lehenga for your college prom and so put safety pins to work on an old tissue saree
The saree is used here merely as a platter to serve up the – you know what!
That saree is a lovely saree, that is totally wasted. When the point is to show the abs, just wear a bra type blouse and underwear.
Every event is not about showing off your frame!

It should be a crime to treat a saree like this, and I don’t think I am a prude.
Exposing midriff is okay if you do it well. She could have draped it the back to front way and let the pallu hang to a side.

I’m kinda confused. Was this a diwali party? Or a competition to wear the saree in the most tackiest way possible.
We get it, you have abs. Well done, congrats, all hail unto thee, praise be…but please for the love of god you don’t have to plumb the depths of tackiness to rub it in our faces each time.
