  1. How lovely! I think it’s the same collection from Anavila that Rhea was featured wearing. Such a difference! Silhouettes, styling and hair make such an impact – both ways !

    • Dia reminded me what festive dressing was once upon. Time… got me nostalgic with a proper saree, a blouse! light jewellery and a happy lit up self.

  2. i personally don’t care for these metallic linen sarees and silver, esp, doesn’t always offset desi complexions in the way gold does, but Diya looks spectacular

      • walked into that one. but i do think gold offsets desi — and i mean ALL colors of desi 🙂 — complexions better than so silver does (in textile, i don’t mean jewelry) 🙂 it wasn’t meant as a racist/colorist comment at all.

        • Cool, warm and neutral skin type and undertones of skin colour need to be considered to know would whether silver or gold would look better according to colour theory. I remember how my grandmother looked great with her darker brown skin and silver grey hair in a silver saree. Knowing ones undertone is key to making colours looks great on you always. Hope this is helpful!

          • So agree with you on the undertone part. I am a brown South Indian, neutral undertoned with inkling towards cool. Always look better in Silver/Rose Gold than in Yellow Gold.

The earlier commentator seems to thinks all Indians are blanket yellow undertoned. Rookie misconception i guess.

    • I agree on this. Antique golds and less pristine silvers go well with Indian skin tones. Even yellowish gold are jarring on our warmer skins.

  4. I love Dia’s minimalist aesthetic!
This look is actually a very good reference for styling those plain tissue ethnic outfits.
Maybe I would’ve added kohl rimmed eyes!
