Deepika attended a wedding ceremony recently and wearing a no-point-for-guessing Sabyasachi outfit and jewellery from his line. I am just surprised the designer didn’t insist on using his potli (creating in collaboration with Christian Louboutin) as well. Not that I wanted an all Sabya look but the plain gold one did feel a bit jarring here.
You’ll remember seeing the Sabya potli on Kareena recently.

That choker is complete un necessary
Maybe the look is nothing special but she looks amazing! Comfortable, smiling, non clownish and there is a little drama going on with the hair. All in all understated elegance. Love it.
Such bags are usually convenient to hold the items that women receive as shagun at weddings. Plus she is not posing for the red carpet or a photo shoot…so I think we can overlook the potli.
I think the choker must be a loaner. I def saw it on insta recently on the Sabya page, he just launched this flagship jewelry store so this is a well timed ad. I think she looks lovely.

Looks too heavy and hard to describe…but museum-ish.

I like it! I like this jacket on lehenga style and I just love this lehenga with its gorgeous embroidery. After a long time, I found a Sabya I really like!

Don’t know why this overly heavy loook is turning out so cool on Deepika. Love it somehow. It’s like a vintage woman walking into a wedding function down the lane.
DP looks so relaxed n happy.. the dupatta was draped over shoulders…wish it were carried under her arms over elbows . Cos that jacket seems enough with the lehenga
Love it. The lehenga could easily overwhelm but Deepika seems to be carrying it with a certain ease. She looks lovely here.
It looks so stuffy… Seems beautiful for a photoshoot but not regular wear… And as usual over designed!

This was not a wedding ceremony she was attending. It was a friend’s Mehendi ceremony and Deepika was more decked up that the bride-to-be. While I liked this outfit on her, it was too much for this event. You don’t have to be a celebrity everywhere.
Forget potli, I am surprised Sabya did not insist on that little black dot bindi and middle parted chapte hair.

Her hair is oily and just tied randomly, outfit is too busy,potli doesnt match.. on paper, it shouldn’t work… but we forget its Deepika we re talking about – she carries it all so effortlessly and looks stunning!
Exactly ! I was wondering how no one seemed to notice or comment that DP seems to be having a bad hair day here. But of course , DP being DP looks pretty even then .
I agree, Its too busy, looks quite unflattering in my opinion, also ages her tremendously. It’s like in her head she’s being royal and classy but all of her looks involve wearing tops that are like turtle neck or a choker etc and the hair tied up in a bun, feel it takes away from youthful feminism.
I actually really like this type of Sabya looks. Reminds me of his 2000’s designs– whimsical and beautiful.
Never do I feel this for looks that feature overly ornate clothing and jewels – She does look like a million bucks here! The colour looks gorgeous on her and how effortlessly does she smile? I also like the muted lip colour and overall minimal makeup face. As far as the potli goes – The more I look at it, the less I mind it.

Much like Manish Malhotra to Kareena and co. And Abu Sandeep to half the industry. I think bottom line is they are people too and people tend to work well with people they like. I don’t think it matters to them what every one thinks over their personal repo with these designers. Remember how everyone one and their aunt wore Seema Khan designs for a Khan wedding. That to me was ultimate loyalty ;).
Sometimes you just might not have the time and energy to analyse everything you have to wear inspite of having a stylist. These stars shuttle between places and countries and after so many shoots and public appearances, they are bound to be physically and mentally exhausted. It’s okay for them to just trust the designer sometimes
She looks fabulous! The embroidery isn’t heavy or garish, makeup is lovely and jewellery also looks perfect!
Just feel it’s too many layers of cloth! Don’t they feel stuffy or suffocated?

I quite like the choker and earrings but not with this busy outfit. That’s an overkill. It would look great with a plain black dress or suit.
