In Ashi Studio

At the Grazia Millenial Awards, Deepika was seen in a head to toe green look from Ashi Studio. Sure, the color was striking and Ms. Padukone being her looked nice but the more I look at her pictures (especially ones where she is only showing off the back), it feels like she has just wrapped a very shiny blanket/comforter around her. And once I had that image in my head, can’t unsee it.

What did you think of the look?

  1. This actually looks like a bedsheet wrapped around her. And a crushed one at that. The front part looks ok, but the huge billowy train like thing at the back just ruins it. Upar se she is wearing a matching green ribbon in the hair! And matching shoes. Overload of monochrome.

But that smile. It salvages anything!

    • No it salvages nothing, its almost like she is requesting others too to howl or give a full throated laugh just like her at her hideous dressing.

  2. If she is trying to go the ranveer way, all I can say is “Beta, aap se na ho payega!” She doesn’t have the personality for it.

  3. Lol what even is this…don’t know whether to laugh at the designer for creating it or her for picking it! Also another post where I’m compelled to say – monochrome needs to go!!! No one on these pages can do it right anyway.

  5. One need not buy everything from Ashi Studio because one thing worked. Calling it blanket-like is charitable. This looks like a garbage disposal bag. Its terrible unless she is making a point about the importance of disposing garbage properly-in which case fashion should take the fall for sure.

  6. I like the risk she took with the silhouette, and the shade of Green is so fresh!
But Green hair tie and Green shoes with that outfit are overkill.

  7. I want to like it… but the style of the pants is throwing me off. Maybe better tailored cigarette pants with this. And no ribbon. And some funky earcrawlers instead of the boring earrings.

  8. I think this is fun look and she is having fun despite knowing others will have fun killing and bashing the look. So win-win.
She looked nice and carried the dress well without drowning in it. Comforter or garbage bag or not.
She does enjoy these dresses and that all that matters.

    • Really? I remember literally 2 months ago she said her style was classic and elegant, and suddenly she’s dressing like a clown – I don’t think she’s figured it out herself.

      • Of course she hasn’t. I don’t think she is someone who probably has that sense but she goes with whoever she hires and enjoys what she wears. It isn’t something that complements her much but she looks comfortable and fine to me but just my opinion as the comment suggests :).

  9. Lol, that was a pant? Hahahaha
She looks so pretty with her hair and the green ribbon and neck up she is gorgeous.
She obviously knows this is a weird silhouette..why is she wearing such outfits?

  10. Deepika is providing some serious comic relief with her dress in the midst of other dresses. Enjoying the comments ?? parachute, comforter, bedsheet, garbage bag …. I wonder what special design is this?!! And what made them choose this dress?. Does nothing for her.

  11. No Deepika, you don’t look good in a sack!! Sorry to burst your bubble but this is a ridiculous look and you are looking extremely funny!

  12. I want to eat more green. I will use this picture of Deepika to remind me to buy more romaine lettuce.
She is actually wearing a crisp romaine lettuce. Or maybe some mustards greens. Anyway, she is doing good service to mankind by so lovingly endorsing salad leaves

  13. I love her makeup… she has such a beautiful face that will look good in a rug sack.. but not this time… this is sad excuse for a dress! And that ribbon on her hair? That is sooooo 80s!

  14. The color is good… DP looks pretty.. BUT the outfit is ill designed… and Ashi studio dresses seem to lack finish.. a rare miss for DP

  15. My question is why ? This year she’s made some really bad choices at the cost of looking different. Sticking to basics is not too bad and especially when it suits her . Missing the elegant Deepika for quite some time now.
