Well, I’ve been all day hoping we would get high-res pics from Sabyasachi featuring Deepika. Alas, can’t wait any more so lets delve into Deepika who opened the show for the designer wearing a monochromatic layered white look completed with black gloves, a black Camellia flower headband and loads of jewellery. Instead of a red lip, her look was completed with a dark brown lip. This look should feel striking but I found the cotton outfit a bit underwhelming. Ms. Turlington was better styled in my opinion.

I think this look was done and overdone… seen too many times at different platforms. Not for opening
First of all, that overcoat is unironed…
I just cannot believe that and look past that.

Looks absurd and so pointless
It doesn’t make a statement. It’s not having any sense of style and just feels like random stuff put together with a designer label. I really feel celebrities should sometimes put their foot down and wear stuff that actually looks nice versus just giving in to non thought out so called quirky stuff that looks silly
There’s bizarre high fashion and then there’s ridiculously funny. This is the latter ….

I feel it’s like someone wearing all the jewelry they own in the middle of the night (hence in their lounge wear) to escape something! Not impressed.
I thought it was Rekha too! Stacks of Kangans OVER gloved hands? I can’t even!

Forget this is Deepika and then see it as look on runway wrt the theme of show. I think this is a very good look.
It reminds me of Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter (Face palming emoji)!!!
Sabyasachi has been feeling dated and overdone for a while now. A certain self righteous smugness has set in which feels like a really long yawn now.
Christy is fine but Deepika looks almost like a clown especially with that thing on her head. : (
The upper right pic looks different from the rest, in it she has plum cheeks and whole face as well.
Didn’t recognize her. Why would you do that to her, and why did she agree?
Sorry on all counts, this look was a huge flop. Especially so for an opening act. Especially so for a Sabyasachi show. Especially so for a milestone anniversary celebration!! And sadly, especially so for Deepika, who according to me can do no wrong when it comes to fashion! Just a sad sad flop. Don’t even get me started with Christy’s look. It seemed like she came straight from the airport, Sabya dropped a few pieces of jewelery on her and told her to walk. She carried a weird bag, wore her reading glasses and had no time to do her hair… Sabya, this you did not do right.
Rekha- Khoon bhari maang!!!
Sabya can make a gorgeous woman look grumpy n frumpy! And yeah 20 yrs older then she is.
