In Sabyasachi

Wearing a velvet kurta and dhoti pant set from Sabyasachi, Deepika attended the Khan-Sharma Eid party on Tuesday evening. While I like the set and she looked nice, the pumps feel out of place here. I also have to question the choice of wearing velvet in peak summer.

  1. She looked good and i love the pumps with this look. Though velvet is very odd choice for summers and its obviously sabyasachi.

    • There are types of velvet which can be worn at different times if the year.
I know I’m going off topic, but i have a ritu kumar velvet kurta which is soft and light as a feather and i wear it for several summer events.

    • Appropriateness in all departments is too much to ask for. Event appropriate? Enough! She look pretty and comfortable in her own skin!

  2. I like the whole look including pumps. They immediately uplift the whole appearance, though I too question the choice of fabric given the summer season.

  3. Given that they’re probably in an air-conditioned environment (and that ACs are often set to such low, environmentally unfriendly temperatures), I assume the velvet is comfortable enough.

  5. She looks great, pumps included. The styling is on point. And some variants of velvet is so airy and breezy, they can be worn round the year. Have a couple of kurtas which I wear all seasons.

  6. I think by now we understand that if her hair is pulled up like that in an Indian attire, it’s most likely a Sabya
