Cover This!

Vogue India is going to be debuting with a smokin’ hot cover with Bipasha Basu in Roberto Cavalli, Gemma Ward in Valentino, Priyanka Chopra in Giorgio Armani, Lakshmi Menon in Chanel, Preity Zinta in Christian Dior, and Monikangana Dutta in Gucci!

I think Basu and Dutta totally steal the show, umm, cover! But this cover totally reminds me of the inaugaral cover of Vogue China which also had the seemingly mandatory Gemma Ward.

Sushmita Sen supporting Shiksha

I think the Smithsonian just reported the “Seinfeld Puffy Shirt” missing!

Ms. Sen, along with Konkona Sen Sharma was supporting Shiksha, an NGO that is devoted to educating underprivileged children in India. But, unlike Konkona, who wore a subtle black kurta, Ms Sen decided to go over the top!

Malaika In Bebe

Malaika Arora-Khan. The woman is always looking her very best! And I mean it! Always! Recently, she was at the re-launch of the Country Club India Limited, and as usual she was looking fabulous!

She chose to wear a printed silk top with dark blue denims, accessorizing with gold elements. A long chain link gold necklace, a Jimmy Choo clutch, a gold ring and even gold wedges. Obviously I can’t help but point out the silver watch in the midst of all that gold, which kinda just juts out. Oh well, look at that pretty face and you forget everything!

You can buy the same top from Bebe for $79.

Day 2: Monisha Jaisingh

There was not much to dislike in Monisha Jaising’s collection. If there was any collection that was pret ready, this was it! Clean, simple lines, with its appeal lying in uncluttered visual appeal…

I liked the knits with metallic detailing, what a great way to update that same old horizontal striped tee! The tunics were a great example of fusing Indian print with structured, modern fits. The dresses had ready to wear appeal too with their simple silhouettes and detailing on the neck! Sheer printed long tunics made an appearance here too!

Notice how the models were styled? Its that clean/bare, minimal look again! Hair pulled back and very youthful and fresh look…

What did I think of the collection? Not much. Some pieces were good, like those knits. But other than that, very humdrum!
