Spotted on Sr. Vice President of IMG Fashion, Fern Mallis, an Anamika Khanna jacket from the designer’s Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. We quite hated the way Ms. Mallis wore this jacket. Instead of of the ill-flattering midi dress she had on, we wished she had picked a more fitted dress and left the jacket unbuttoned for a more casual but chic look.

Mallika: Front Row At Fashion Week

When we first heard that Mallika was going to attend front row at the BCBGMaxAzria show, we’ll admit we were a bit nervous! Well, after the (in)famous appearance at the “Inglorious Basterds” premiere (see here), do you blame us for being a little anxious. Thankfully, Mallika toned the shock factor way down and attended the BCBG show in a trademark tiered BCBG dress that although wasn’t wow-inducing, at least it spared us from a ‘Holy Mackerel, what is she wearing’ feeling. 😛

In Nachiket Barve

Mostly seen in Swapnil Shinde‘s creations, Urvashi surprised us by wearing a blue Nachiket Barve gown at the premiere of her movie ‘Baabar’. She also wore a pink Spring 2009 Nachiket Barve gown to a promotional event in Ahmedabad the previous day. We liked the flowy ombre dresses (seen on Roshni and Sonali ) from this collection but the gown’s aren’t our thing. What say you?

Going Green

Don’t know what it is about this emerald shade of green but each lady who wore it made it her own. Sure we have our favorites but it seems almost irrelevant now to get into that.

We so need, want, crave that color in our closets.

At the Canali bash, Farah Oomerbhoy (sis-in-law of Roohi Jaikshen) was spotted wearing a Stella McCartney dress ( seen also on Charlize) that she paired with Alexander McQueen corsage sandals.

Ordinarily, we think Mr. McQueen can do no wrong but between the corsages and the vinyl strips on the sandals, we can safely say, ‘not this time, not for us anyway’! Call it edgy or call it whimsical, we’ll just stick to calling it a bit much Vegas.

P.S. Wish Ms. Theron hadn’t covered up with that jacket. We’d have liked to see what this dress looked like on someone with some meat on em’! 😉
