One look at Kajol and you couldn’t help but flashback to cousin sister Rani’s appearance from the MAMI opening night. Both wore floral Manish Malhotra saris with red blouses and chand bali earrings. The similarity ends RIGHT there though because as beautiful Rani looked in hers, Kajol looked anything but. Hated the velvet blouse and the maroon underskirt under the sari.

Sabyasachi might have been go-to pick for the ladies associated with ‘Paa’ but there was also a Manish Malhotra spotting at the ‘Paa’ Premiere with Neelam Roy picking a red suit. Yes, we’ve seen the same striped style on just about everyone from Rani to Kareena, but I loved the red/black version on her.

This cutesy, one-shouldered polka dot dress isn’t one for me… but what really, really kills it for me are those pink sandals that Maria chose to pair her French Connection dress with while at the premiere.

In Sabyasachi

Considering Sabyasachi was the costume designer of ‘Paa’, it was no surprise to see these two ladies sport creations by the designer at the premiere. Vidya gave us a more traditional look with pulled back hair and mogra in the hair, while Aishwarya went for a more sexy look by way of a lace sari and red lips. Even though Vidya’s hair bothers me a tad but, my vote went to her just because I liked her sari more. Wish Ash’s was a solid black instead of lace-y.
