Ms. Malvade seems to be in a Mandira Wirk phase. After being spotted in a red gown by Wirk, Vidya was seen at the Shagun fashion show in a blue one-shouldered gown also worn by Miss India Pooja Chopra.

Since we don’t have a good full-length pic of Pooja, we can’t really get into who wears it better but going by the hair itself, am liking this more on Pooja.

On the same night, two designers showcased their wedding collection. Vikram Phadnis presented his at the Shagun Bridal Show with Malaika as the showstopper and earlier in the evening Jacqueline Fernandez walked the runway for Riyaz Gangji.

I wouldn’t be drawn to the black/gold lehenga Malaika has on but after looking at Jacqueline’s, Malaika’s looks pretty darn good in comparison. What’s with hideous ugly designs making the runway recently? (Remember Amrita in this?)

In Vero Moda

Vero Moda launched its first store in Mumbai and marked the opening with a fashion show that included Lara Dutta wearing a black dress from the collection. She makes the dress more visually interesting by adding a grey belt to break apart all the black. As much as I love Lara, am neither feeling the hair nor the satin pumps.

Ms. Saran has been taking great strides and all in the (almost) right direction. Considering how far she has come (from jewel-tone dresses and odd-fitting minis), we’re gonna give her a pass for that unsightly bra-strap because other than that, she looks quite lovely.

P.S. Is it just us who find a shoulder bag being carried as a top handle/tote weird?

From Photoshoot To Real Life

I loved this dress in the photoshoot on Shilpa only because the mustard/gold against the white stood out as did the hair. It made for a good picture. In real life though, I wouldn’t ever be drawn to this dress as I can’t see that color working and seeing Shriya just reaffirms it.
