Dinner In Delhi: Part Deux

The President and First Lady (or POTUS/FLOTUS to some) have left the country and while there was no sighting of Michelle in a sari (even though the anticipation was huge), we did have a sari sighting from Sally Roemer (wife of the U.S. Ambassador to India) at the State Dinner hosted by President Pratibha Patil. Needless to say, the handwoven saris on the President and Sonia Gandhi were much more elegant.

Michelle herself wore a floor length skirt and blouse by Indian-American designer Rachel Roy.

Ditto!

On Sunday, Roshni Chopra celebrated her birthday wearing a black version of the French Connection Grainger Glitter dress. Now, that I see Shweta’s look again, wouldn’t mind seeing her silver pumps (which I didn’t quite like with her dress) with Roshni’s.

We’ve still got to ask, who wears their French Connection better?

It was a Tarun Tahiliani floor-length outfit for Shilpa at Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali bash paired with a red Miu Miu evening bag. The tall Shilpa sure pulled it off but we think a shorter length with visible churidaars would’ve made for a better look.

Doing The LBD

It was black dresses for these ladies at the Olay Event with Seema matching her dress with black sandals, Maheep contrasting with snakeprint Choo sandals and Miu Miu bag and Namrata doing a half and half (with Tory Burch wedges and a Valentino tote)

Whose look do you like best? We loved Seema’s.

Also In Falguni and Shane Peacock

Katy Perry maybe new to Falguni and Shane Peacock but that doesn’t hold true for Hofit Golan. The Israeli socialite has worn the designer duo’s creations several times before, including at Cannes.

She wore two different Peacock creations, one at the Awards show and one the night before at Pre-Cocktails pairing both with sky-high Loubs. Of the two looks, I much prefer the blue one. The black look is just making me uncomfortable. Not because of the twins but more at seeing how much they are squished. 😛
