At The Awards

Wearing partially-lined embellished dresses, both Mouni and Nushrat attended an awards event in Mumbai.

Mouni’s Albina Dyla gown didn’t photograph very well; that stark lining stood out like a sore thumb. That combined with make-up issues made this look bit of a miss for Ms. Roy. On the other hand, Nushrat’s Reema Acra gown worked well on her, and its styling helped elevate the whole look more. Ms. Bharucha did good!

At The Awards

Both Divya and Waluscha went with volume for a recent appearance of theirs with the former picking a Tarik Ediz jumpsuit and the latter, a Gavin Miguel dress. Over-designed/gimmicky, fussy and not very flattering; can’t say we were fans of either look. The ladies could do so much better!

In I Love Pretty

It was an I love Pretty dress for Ananya while at a recent awards event. Slicked-back ‘wet’ hair and pair of slingbacks rounded out the actor’s look. While it wasn’t among our favorites from the evening, we did think Ms. Panday made the dress work for her.

On The Red Carpet

Both Sophie and Sonal showed off their stems in off-white embellished gowns on a recent red carpet. For Sophie, it was a Liz Martinez gown and for Sonal, a Yas Couture number. Wearing their hair down, both ladies rounded out the look with diamond jewelry. These are tricky gowns and to their credit, both ladies fare better than most others would in them.

Sari Style

During the course of movie promotions recently, Kriti was photographed in saris while at two different events.

For one appearance, she picked an olive-green Abraham & Thakore sari. Wearing her hair in a braid, she rounded out the look with silver jewelry and white sneakers. And while on the sets of a television show, it was a Manish Malhotra sari for her.

The yellow MM sari was just too fussy for me. As much as that color worked for her, much preferred her in the green A&T sari.
