Unless it is a big-banner premiere, rarely do we see anyone dress up but at the ‘Coco Avant Chanel’ (Coco Before Chanel) premiere, I was surprised to see model Lisa Haydon (who just graced the cover of Harpers) in a Chanel Resort 2009 dress. I loved her look until my eyes reached her feet. Sky-high pumps is what this dress needed, not ankle-strap sandals.

On an aside, have you seen the movie? Did a chill run up your spine in the scene where Audrey is sitting on the spiral staircase and the models are walking down!

Clutch Spotting

Love the Hermes Jige clutch in both of it’s colors that we spotted recently but especially luuuurve Gayatri’s blue Jige paired with that Khaki dress. As yummy as Laila’s clutch was, the whole look (esp those beads) were just so distracting.

P.S: We are so curious… what was in that Tod’s goody bag that put such a smile on Gayatri’s face? Something tells us had we gotten the goody bag, we’d be grinning too! 😉

‘Knot India’ Spotting

I was most certain that the first spotting of the limited edition Knot India clutch by Bottega Veneta would’ve been on Ms. Deewan. Instead, Rupal Mafatlal was the first to be spotted with the clutch at the Tod’s Christmas Lunch Co-Hosted by L’Officiel India. Loving the clutch?

In Oscar De La Renta

While a lot of you didn’t much care for Natasha’s appearance from last time (Payal included), I actually did. The formal cocktail dress with the crazy heels was a fun twist. To me, the dress would’ve worked equally well for an uptown cocktail affair with a pair of pumps or say on someone like Shruti Hassan while performing with her grunge band… comes down to how it was styled. And I didn’t mind the way Natasha styled it on herself and to me she didn’t look overwhelmed by her outfit at all.

But even I can’t justify this recent look of hers. Spotted in an Oscar de la Renta top (and we think the suit is too), this look was just way too matronly. The overdone gold accessories with the gold suit only reminded us of a wizened old English woman at tea (no offense to English women but you get the drift) or an aggressive cougar and it’d be safe to say, neither was a ‘look’ Natasha was going for.

Scarf Style

What we suspected was an Hermès scarf (worn as a top) on Gauri, was confirmed by SRK himself (via Twitter). Gauri wore her pink scarf with denims and pink heels and paired the look with a croc Bottega Veneta stretch knot.
