Wearing a dhakai jamdani sari from Aarong, Bangladeshi actor Azmeri Haque Badhon attended the screening of her movie at Cannes 2021. You already know am a sucker for sari appearances at international events and when you see one worn well, it’s like cherry on top.

I keep thinking – the pieces by themselves shouldn’t work this well but it is the whole package that does – so elegant! Her hair and makeup are beautiful and she carries the saree beautifully!

Original jamdani is made in Bangladesh, that’s where it’s from. Everything else is just a copy.

LOVE! Have been drooling over the saree since the first pix came out and I don’t know if I’m loving the saree’s exquisite craftsmanship or the way it’s been updated with that bejewelled blouse or the way it’s been draped so gracefully.
Good thing is, I don’t have to choose! What a way to put Bangladesh on the fashion map.
