In Torqadorn

Wearing a Torqadorn tuxedo mini layered over a sheer top, Taapsee attended her movie’s screening recently. With her hair slicked back in to a knot, she rounded out the look with diamond jewelry, stockings and classic pumps. I think this looked a whole lot more edgier/sharper on paper (and on instagram) than how it actually translated on the red carpet. This was bit of a miss for me.

A Separate(s) Story

Two recent movie screenings had Mrunal suit up. For one, she teamed her orange pants with a black top and blazer, rounding out the look with slicked back hair and a Dior ‘Saddle’ bag. And more recently, she was photographed in a blue-purple pantsuit by Gnama while at ‘Avatar’ screening.

While we appreciate the fact that Mrunal likes to play around with different hair dos and styles, not everything works. And the crimped extensions (in the blue) certainly didn’t. Of the two looks here, definitely preferred Mrunal in the orange and black separates; she looked good.

In Twos

Her movie’s promotions are in full swing which means we’ll be seeing more of Pooja in the coming days. Given that it’s become common to play around a theme for the entire promo tour, am curious to see if Pooja would go down the same path too. Of the two sightings below, it’s hard to pick up on anything that’s common between the two looks, so maybe not?

That said, between the lehenga and the matching separates set, which do you like her more in?

In Gauri And Nainika

Rashmika attended the Beauty Awards wearing Gauri and Nainika. The dress felt too much like an amateur craft project and besides, it didn’t photograph very well on the red carpet. Between that and the styling, Rashmika’s appearance left us underwhelmed and wanting more.

In Amit Aggarwal

Janhvi attended the Beauty Awards wearing an Amit Aggarwal gown. Letting the gown take center stage, she finished out the look with a sleek knot and minimal jewelry. I know that this look might be polarizing… While I am glad that Janhvi took a risk and attempted giving us something unexpected on the red carpet, and I’d even go as far as to say she worked that gown somewhat, I can’t help but think the gown itself felt gimmicky. Love Amit Aggarwal’s work but this look screamed ‘costume’ and it was hard to get past it.
