While at a movie screening recently, Kanika was photographed in Raw Mango separates. An Hermes Picotin bag and pair of black sandals rounded out her look. For the NMACC opening night event, Kanika picked a Christopher Kane dress to wear.

Of the two looks, I’d have to vote for the outing in Raw Mango. I like the separates on her, and I love that pop of green. What I do not like are those flats- they really crowd an already busy look (with all the printed separates). It still isn’t a deal-breaker for me though.

The look in Kane however was a total miss. It was a rare misstep for Kanika who almost always is very well put together. The dress just did not fit her right and there was no salvaging that look.

During her latest show’s promotions, Aditi was photographed in a jumpsuit by Sunandini on one occasion, and a Sureena Chowdhri velvet suit on another. She wears both well but I do like the sighting in jumpsuit just a touch more; she looked good in it.

P.S: Anyone else reminded of Self-Portrait looking at the top half of that jumpsuit?

In Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Seeing Kajol in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla (instead of the more predictable Manish Malhotra) did come as a surprise. What however wasn’t a surprise was the silhouette/style of the actual outfit itself. And while I don’t think the pearls quite worked with the outfit here, Kajol did look nice.

Despite never having seen her wear something identical to this outfit (from what I recall), the intricately embroidered and embellished outfit unfortunately lacked the impact it should’ve had, maybe because of the outfits she has favored in the past.

Sari Style

At the NMACC Gala, both Sharvari and Lisa were photographed in white saris, with the former wearing an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and the latter, one by Ridhi Mehra.

I wish Lisa had picked a different clutch. That said though, while neither sari was conventional, both ladies made their saris work for them. Sharvari’s styling was especially on point and the look was quite impactful.
