Sari Style

It made for a refreshing change to see both Deepika and Kareena do saris at the recent Awards. Between the two, we’ll have to hand this one to Deepika who looked lovely channeling a bit of an old world charm. As for Kareena, as gorgeous as she looks neck-up, the sari didn’t quite cut it. Perhaps it’s the wide expanse of her skin under the sheer sari that took away from the look?

P.S: Kareena is in Manish Malhotra.

In Donna Karan

Sophie looked great in her Donna Karan gown which she paired with jewelry from Yogesh Jasnani. Loved the hair-do on her. We like.

In Hervé Léger

After picking an unpredictable Saab gown and looking perfect in it, Sridevi picked Hervé Léger for the recent Awards. Tad anti-climactic, no?

Love he anthracite color on her. And though HL wouldn’t have been out first choice for her, she does make it work. Looked pretty darn good!

Sari Style

Sure we’ve seen these lovely ladies don a sari before but specifically this look certainly was a first. We tried really hard to like ’em but… It’s a Not Quite for us.

Both their blouses seem to overwhelm them. However, if we had to pick, we’d choose by a wee bit margin Sonali who manages to still somehow make it work somewhat.

P.S: Sonali is in Abu Sandeep and Dia in Anamika Khanna.

In Salvatore Ferragamo

Oh what a difference hair can make to the finished, complete look. The do that Ms. Singh sported was just way too severe for the dress.

P.S: Ms. Singh was styled by Aastha Sharma and Mohit Rai.
