At the reception held earlier this evening, Lara was photographed in Tarun Tahiliani. Sleek centre-parted hair, big earrings and a matching Louis Vuitton bag rounded out her look.

She looked good but the ironed out hair was bit of a downer. The look needed a certain lightness and the hair failed to deliver. Lovely as she looked, a wispy updo would’ve really helped elevate the look a coupe of notches.

You can always count on Rekha to dial it, dial it way up when it comes to her appearances at anything festive. Jewelry that included multiple layered necklaces, her signature red lip color and sindoor and a gold-toned potli rounded out her look in the rich silk sari.

For her appearance at a recent awards event, Jacqueline picked a princess-y gown by Dar Sara. With her hair pulled back in to a ponytail, she rounded out the look with smokey eyes, glossy lip and jewelry from Gehna, Anmol and Mahesh Notandass.

Does she wear the look well? Yes. Are we fatigued with this silhouette? Yes. Yes! Nice as she looked, wish we could impose a temporary moratorium on princess-y ballgowns.

On a different note, how much better would the gown have been without the halter-neckline? Wish it was just strapless.

It was a Manish Malhotra lehenga for Katrina while at a recent awards event. Wearing her hair to the side,she rounded out the look with nude-ish make-up and understated jewelry.

We suspect the outfit looked better in person than it photographed. Regardless, Katrina fared better with all that monotone than most others would’ve; she looked nice. That said, the minimalist styling did seem at odds with the lehenga!

Also, that Anamika Khanna-esque dupatta drape reminded us of this appearance of hers where she went the opposite route and served up some serious color.
