On the Filmfare red carpet, Shriya smoldered in a gold Gaurav Gupta. Skipping on accessories (and rightfully so), the actor finished out the look by wearing her hair back in a simple low knot. She does full justice to the lamé dress! But that said, the sheer panelling was a complete downer. Surely Ms. Saran could’ve gone the whole hog and said no to those (non)illusion sheer panels?

It was a Shehlaa sari for Jacqueline while at a recent conference. Wearing her hair partly pinned back, she finished out the look with jewelry from Shruti Sushma. There’s a rather charming vintage vibe to the sari, to the whole look in fact, which we rather like! Ms. Fernandez looked lovely.

If there’s a certain kind of look that Kangana owns, this has to be it. A classic (yet with just enough accents to make it contemporary) sheath, fail-safe pumps or sandals and discreet jewelry… And voilà! Right up Ms. Ranaut’s alley.

This recent outing makes the point for us. Wearing a Sachin & Babi dress with Dior earrings and Louboutin sandals, Kangana looked impeccably put together. Not much to fault here!

Event appropriateness? Now that’s something entirely different to chew over.

It was a Michael Costello gown for Kriti while at Stardust Awards. Centre-parted sleek hair and jewelry from Anmol completed the look. After giving us a string of rather underwhelming appearances on her promo tour, this came as a breath of fresh air. Kriti wears the gown well; she looked good.

For the Awards held last night, Nimrat sparkled in two shimmery dresses. She first walked the red carpet in Sharnita Nandwana dress and Nirav Modi jewelry. She later changed in to Monisha Jaising, wearing the gown with jewelry from Gehna. She looked good in both but the black Monica Jaising was a favorite; she looked especially good in it.
