This takes me right back to our teenage years in India—those awkward, exciting days when you were just starting to discover fashion but your entire social life consisted of school, tuitions, and maybe a cousin’s birthday. And then suddenly, out of nowhere, comes that one party invite that shows up every two years. You’d dig out that one “fancy” dress you had convinced your mom to buy from Sarojini after hours of bargaining and pleading, pair it with the slightly-too-big pumps you borrowed from an older cousin, and convince yourself you were ready to make the grandest entrance teenage Delhi had ever seen.
These warm indulgent reminiscings are the reason I still visit this blog.
