For the launch of her upcoming movie’s trailer, Alia picked a Gauri and Nainika dress. Wearing her hair partially pinned back, she finished out the look with soft make-up, white cuff and pink sandals. Though the dress with its sheer printed overlay isn’t quite our cup of tea, there’s no denying it worked for Ms. Bhatt; she looked sweet. And, sure looked like she was having fun with it!

That’s what is important ….if it’s working for her …then it’s absolutely fine ….Allia is looking so amazing …
I didn’t think I would like this but it looks cute. Only issue I have is that her make-up is soooo thick and heavy for such a youthful look.
The heavy spackled-on foundation looks incongruous with her kiddish face and cute outfit.
The edgy outfit is made into a cute look. It sure does work for her. She looks adorable and good to see her having fun.
I like the dress. It looks good on her.. but I dunno why, whenever I look at her, I never get that “oh she is an actress” kind of a feeling. And its NOT got to do with her age. For example: Sridevi’s daughter and Mr. Bachhan’s granddaughter Navya.. they have that actress vibes in them already.
The white cuff looks very odd. And I believe fish tail would have looked great with this kind of an attire.
P.S. does nobody feel that posters of Shandaar are very much like 2 States? Alia is sitting in the lap of Shahid (same as Arjun’s in 2 states). Similarly, shahid is carrying her on his back.. the way Arjun did for 2 states. No novelty.. and the movie too seems predictable.
That should be a good thing, no?
Why should there be a ‘type’ to actors – to any profession actually – but esplly a creative one?
She, Kangana, Priyanka, Anushka are as varied as they come, and they are all the best out of the current lot- by far I’d say..

And why alia bhatt a no for me, because she tries hard to ‘fit in’ the regular mould of actresses. Least orginial actress(?) I would say!
Totally. I loved her in Highway and also 2 states. She is a good actor with a pretty good sense of dressing style.
That’s such a cute look. She looks comfortable and is having fun, that’s what is making this dress work on her
Finally, a look that Alia seems comfortable in, without it being dowdy.
The dress suits her – fun, young and playful.
It looks great on her! I’d have gone with black sandals instead of the pink though.
