In Hervé Léger

Comment image 11

Been a while since we had a Hervé Léger sighting on these pages. Giving us one was Alia wearing a vintage halter gown from the label that made bandage dresses famous. Her look was finished out with a messy updo and a diamond choker necklace. The gown is nice on her but I think in this case, she should’ve worn studs and kept the neck bare.

What say you?

  1. Sorry- I love Alia but when I see her in such gowns/dresses, no matter how much I try to unsee it, I just see a little girl playing dress up. It’s like she’s raised her supermodel mums closet and has put on her mums heels in an attempt to be her. Unpopular opinion but I think she needs to find her own style, a style she’s fully comfortable in as looks like these, don’t seem to be natural to her

    • Well she is a grown woman over 30 with a daughter so if you still see her as a ‘little girl playing dress up with her mum’s closet’ then that’s on you. She’s petite, sure. But she doesn’t have a baby face anymore. If she roams in flouncy dresses people would say she’s dressing too tweeny-there’s really no pleasing is there? Besides, I think she pulls this off well. It’s sophisticated but not matronly.

    • This is so sad…she is not a little girl, she is just petite. Supermodel mom meaning someone who is tall? So since she’s short she can’t wear these kind of clothes?! She started in the industry young and you can see how her personality, the way she carries herself, her dressing – all of it has evolved over the years. If it hadn’t changed it would be – she dresses like a teenager! And now since it has changed – she is playing dress up ?????

  2. Bandage dresses and I will never be friends—but thankfully, they’re rare sightings these days. That said, Alia is absolutely stunning, and that diamond choker? Pure perfection.

  3. I think I get Rheas plan! Give us a ton of big messy looks — just to reiterate the fact that a classic black dress will never go out of style. She is educating us ladies!

  4. Should’ve look amazing but I guess the hair do wasn’t best suited and needed a smoky eye, soft, make up than the peach caking. It’s part Gangubai part international outings.
