In Falguni And Shane Peacock

Aishwarya attended a tribute concert on Tuesday evening wearing a yellow straight-cut suit by Falguni and Shane Peacock. I am just glad she didn’t wear that siren red lipstick she normally has on this time. The muted shade worked well with the bright suit. She looked great.

  1. I thought this day would never come. She looks very good, nice outfit and for once her shoes and bag go with the outfit. I also love abhishek’s new look. He looks fit , great suit and he has finally had a hair cut to do justice to his fabulous hair. I am on the fence about his moustache.

  2. She looks great but the outfit seems more festive than sober given the event in question. Also, are we allowed to comment on Abhishek’s moustache? Eww!!! Maybe it’s the effect of binge watching Narcos…

  3. Simple..elegant..classy & beautiful.

I for once am dying for Aish to tie her hair in a bun. She has the most gorgeous face but most of the time the hair covers it all

  4. I don’t think it gels. Her face is too stark for the colour. The dress is soothing to the eyes; it definitely did not need a middle partitioned poker straight hair and red lipstick. Hair in a soft bun and dewy makeup would have looked great on Aishwarya.

But then, hasn’t she always tread this severe makeup path..

  5. It’s too festive for the event in question. I wish some of our celebs would realize that not every public appearance is an opportunity to “dress up” in designer gear. Wouldn’t a simpler Chanderi or raw silk suit or saree done wonders?

    • Yes ALL that make up on her face, the shimmering yellow, the high heels the glossy lipstick. She probably doesnt own a simple mauve or grey chikan suit 🙁
Yes, Abhi congratulating his Dad on the speech……

No event in India is complete without Bollywood celebrities in the front row, industrialist weddings, political induction ceremony, memorials for a tragedy… nothing!

And Bollywood is dense and clueless and totally lacks etiquette about what to wear and how to conduct themselves

    • Same question here. Though she looks nice, the look seems to lack polish, or even a hint of effort.

I don’t know whether to be glad or not that she doesn’t seem to care much about how she looks for public appearances.

  6. A lovely outfit otherwise, but I’m on the fence about her wearing it to *this* event. Almost looks like she’s walking into a mehendi/sangeet party.

Equally weird was Abhishek’s Instagram post where he’s praising his father for delivering a speech at this event…

    • There have been other ppl also appreciating his speech. Given how unwell he was recently, it’s not out of place to praise his dedication and hard work. And…In better pics of the event you can see it’s a simple suit ash is wearing.

  7. I feel like ash is still from the generation that doesn’t do everything for an image! So from that POV it’s good.. unlike the newer gens..

  8. The suit though very nice looks much too festive for the event in question…this event called for a handloom/understed saree and muted makeup. The red and yellow is too festive for me. Event appropriateness is something lesser mortals like us consider before dressing up…alas not true for the famous people.

  9. Doesn’t look like Aishwarya cares about how she dresses every time she steps out, even if it is a public event. And I really appreciate that. I am tired of seeing most others dress up for every single occasion and even non-occasions like getting in/out of the airport! She is confident enough to not care about what others think all the time! Kudos to that!
