Wearing Manish Malhotra, Aishwarya attended PS2 promotions in Mumbai and Hyderabad recently. The cream and the red outfit just felt like more of the same and while the black wasn’t any better, the lack of bling in it made the look more bearable than the others.

Aishwarya could have looked great in the cream one if the body of the kurta hadn’t been that busy. She does look nice and her hair looks all shiny and beautiful.
The cream one looks almost like an AJSK.

Those tent like clothes that just show her palms and face and feet. She has got one in every colour and attaches the same red lipstick and hides her face and ears with her hair in the same way. Her clothes and appearances are so boring.
She needs and intervention, pronto!!

It’s ok to stick to a signature look if she actually feels good in it. But it seems like she’s just really insecure of her face & body at this point.
As another women of her age, I can understand the struggles of fitting into clothes with peri menopausal body dealing with perpetual bloating. But … she should revisit her post pregnancy pictures, where she unabashedly wore and carried fabulous outfits which were not these tents. In fact that was when I started admiring her style and personality. Today her unparalleled aura will still shine through even though she may not be a size 0 or 2.
These days I feel it’s not even Aishwarya. Someone else is wearing a mask and coming instead of her. That hairstyle can cover any mask.
in less than a month she’ll be on the cannes red carpet, with updo-s and un-tent like clothes. which leads me to think we’ll see her in different clothes and hair only when she’s getting paid for it.
I think she’s a perfect example of i don’t give #$%^& of what you guys think. I am going to wear what I am comfortable in 🙂
So true. We can call her whatever – insecure , scary and what not , she doesn’t care and never has. Bindas! Let her wear her hair the way she wants , let her wear MM clothes- it’s her choice. She is way bigger than wanting to seek our validation and is not in the rat race of “trendy looks”.
Sorry to say but she doesn’t look comfortable at all in these outfits or makeup, else she doesn’t need to hide her face or apply so much make up at the first place. Pity that she still is gorgeous and can do much better but just doesn’t see her own potential ( due to lack of confidence).

She’s reminding me of Rekha etc who stick to one style after certain point of their life.
Please don’t compare her to Rekha. Rekha is individualist and super stylish even with the same kind of fashion choices and styling she prefers. Ash is just plain boring.
White one was ok if she didn’t cover face with her hair and styled it better, red one is just way too gawdy, isn’t it summer in india now? I guess Mrs. Rai Bachchan is too hard on herself, she still looks good for someone in late 40s, I hope she realizes that she still has a million dollars worth face which she doesn’t need to hide.
50. She will be 50 this year. I hope she makes a media appearance like she did when she turned 40.

I thought we all agreed we don’t want to see her (i.e. on a fashion page) till she TRIES a little bit more. I agree with the person who said its getting a bit scary now with that hairstyle.
Just wear a pony tail and come in jeans and white tshirt to an event and shock everyone Aish- just do it.
Why is she doing that to herself. She is freakin AISHWARYA RAI. Face covered with hair, ill fitted tacky clothes with bad makeup. Fee sad for her.
I’ve come to the conclusion that Aishwarya doesn’t care for a stylist, hair stylist, makeup artist or clothes. She must be getting these tent like rejects for free from the Bachchan adoring designers, and who in their right mind would pay for these. She must love doing her own makeup with the same ole same ole lipstick and sports the same stick hair, straightened after a shower. Aishwarya should be a case study in how a world-renowned beauty can suffer from such insecurity that she cannot own her beauty or body.
Please STOP featuring her!!!! Maybe we should start a petition on this.
Can someone please pull her hair back. Its like shes hiding behind poorly done hair.
