Wearing a Manish Malhotra anarkali, Aishwarya attended the pre-release event of PS-1 in Hyderabad. As is the anarkali itself was ghastly but to add that second necklace was a terrible move. It got lost completely. Did Ms. Rai ditch her stylists?

I was surprised that everyone else was coordinated in black while she came in this red. Wonder if they didn’t send her the memo.
A ghastly, OTT anarkali. For the millionth time, she does not need super blingy clothes to look good. The jewelry, however, is really pretty. I wish she had built her wardrobe around the baubles. In the last (PonniyinSelvan -Aishwarya) sighting, there were a lot of negative comments about her hair; I’m beginning to see their points.
You are right. I didn’t even dare zoom but the jewelry is nice. Had she worn a simple saree and let the jewelry shine it would have been amazing.
I have given up on her hair. This is all we are going to get 🙂
The more I see this Ash, the more I miss the natural and beautiful Ash saying “Hi, I am Sanjana, got another Pepsi?”
and this is why celebs have such a hard time ageing — and they get help, but we don’t like that either. it’s a vicious cycle.

Paddy probably meant the spirit and natural ease of Ash in those days. She does seem to be having trouble with finding an age appropriate style that suits her.
On that note, I wish celebrities would understand that we’re not dying to see them eternally young and fresh. We get it. People age, bodies change, wrinkles are a thing, and the previously lustrous hair is gone. The sooner they accept it, the faster we’re convinced, right? It’s insulting to pretend otherwise.
Take a bow, perfectly put.. ageing has contours thankfully.

The “natural and beautiful Ash saying “Hi, I am Sanjana, got another Pepsi?” was almost 25 years ago. People evolve and most of us can’t compete with the beauty we had in our youth. She wears her hair the way she likes it. Get used to it.
P and P the more I visit this blog of late, the more I realize how superficial it is. I will never visit this blog again.

Ash just seems very closed-off and uncomfortable in the recent years.
It’s like she’s stuck in a rut….mostly hiding behind baggy clothes and boring hair.

I think it’s because they care, in a twisted way. Many of these people, myself included, have grown up watching her: she is such a beauty. If only she would see herself the way we see her… and dress up in a way that flatters her beauty. Fashion has come such a long way. Aging is a privilege. Doesn’t mean she has to hide in these shapeless sacks.
Absolutely!! Wish to see Ash embrace her natural self. Whoever is putting her in these awful clothes needs to change ( not sure if it is her choice or her team). She is beautiful but these hideous clothes do her no service.
even more than the outfit and makeup-and-hair (ghastly on all counts but i suspect she hides behind bling and OTT and hair these days), am fascinated by that ice-maiden stare. every single pic, in different situations, has the same glassy eyes. things couldn’t have been happening only in the top left hand side of her vision field!

The Anarkali looks nice in the pictures where the embroidery looks golden.
I feel as if a red and gold ornate lehenga has been converted into an Anarkali.

I wish her she would go back to her Sabya days. This outfit is horrendous. On Instagram the pics are so photoshopped that even this horrible outfit is looking nice & her face has been made to look slimmer / smaller .

She has fallen into this repeat offence mode for some years now. I guess we shoud make peace with it and thank heavens whenever we see her in a saree or western wear or without a red lip.
We should just wait for Cannes or Longiness promotions to see her dress differently and let her personality shine through.
The jewelry here is precious (pun intentded). But she looks like she walked out from the sets of Mahabharat in the 90s. Sad though!
