Doing Black

Doing black at Manav’s show were these ladies with Raveena going traditional in a long anarkali and Sophie and Farah opting for gowns. Got a favorite?

Delhi Couture Week 2012: Sabyasachi

Paint us predictable, but we loved Sabyasachi’s Couture presentation ‘New Moon’. Styled in a manner we’ve come to expect from the designer, the models walked out on the runway in clothes that were, in the mildest terms, absolutely lust-worthy.

A collection that was a confluence of different inspirations (the discipline of New York, nostalgia of the British Raj in Kolkata, the subversive decadence of Berlin, the romance of Paris and the bohemian flair of Barcelona) was one of the best we’ve seen this season. Love. And awe.

PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2012: Manav Gangwani

“Infused with Imperial Splendor” was Manav’s couture collection that was predominantly black and white ending with a series of red. Showcasing heavy beadwork and intricate embroidery in a lil’ bit of everything (like gowns, saris and even minis), Manav’s collection was just what we expected. Lavish designs with a touch of whimsy. But, this touch of whimsy isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

In Marni

Ms. Reddy performed at the CREDAI Real Estate Awards but attended the event looking amazing in a Marni cropped top paired with yellow high-waisted pants. A classic Chanel bag completed her look.

Love!

On An Aside

Passing of Prabuddha Dasgupta comes as a huge blow… We are still in shock. Often referred to as the Avedon of India, he sure is going to be missed. Photography, especially Indian Fashion Photography just won’t be the same. Our condolences to his family.

RIP.
