It came as no surprise to have spotted Gul Panag in an Anita Dongre dress at a recently held Awards show and while we think she looked perfect neck-up, we are pretty undecided on the dress itself. It’s (the dress) not something that appeals to either of us (Payal and I) but Ms. Panag almost makes it work on her. I say almost only because we’ve seen Gul give us ‘awesome’ and this isn’t it.

While we are curious to see the shoes Shilpa paired with this dress, we like what we see so far. The dress is perfect for the leggy lady and she looks great!

Not a fan of the train on the Alberta Ferretti dress at all but barring that, the dress looked great on both these ladies. Something about this particular shade of red that looks incredibly flattering on both skin tones.

Black Was The Night

Black was the color de rigueur for these ladies who were at LV bash too, in what else but LV.

Loved the Spring 09 dress on Malaika and we thought Sameera wore her Pre-Fall 09 dress rather well too. Glad she skipped the brooch or covered it with her hair in any case. Either way, glad.

As for Shamita’s Fall 09 dress, let’s just say we weren’t fans of the dress as shown on the runway. At all. And so while we are glad she chose a slightly toned down/less puffy version of the dress to wear to the event (for which she does get credit), the dress does nothing for her. Or us.

But, did we already mention how much we loved Malaika’s look? 😉

Considering she is a big fan of Louis Vuitton, Shilpa surprised us by not wearing an LV outfit at this event. Perhaps, she knew that anything she might have chosen would’ve in all probability been seen before (as was the case with Deepika/Lara)? She did pair her pink Robert Rodriguez dress with a Vuitton clutch though and, as much as we loved the color on her, the ruffle detail is where the dress lost us.
