Couple Talk
February 21st, 2010 at 6:31 pm . by PayalTwinkle and Akshay attended a wedding last night with Twinkle wearing a white chikan (Abu-Sandeep?) suit and Akshay wearing a beige kurta. This is why I love Twinkle. Instead of wearing a flashy sari by a certain someone, she goes a simple route and jazzes it up by wearing emerald drop earrings. Akshay too keeps it simple by wearing a beige kurta to subtly match Twinkle instead of going a heavy sherwani route.

After seeing the rest of wedding pics, this seems to be a no-bling wedding. Most of them are very elegant and subtely dressed. My type of turn-out. The photo os Akshay and his MIL is adorable.
This is a couple who knows fashion for the occasion… others in Bollywood should take cue from them. Akshay luks hawt in his kurta! ;;)

wow! they make such a good looking couple!!! love what each of them is wearing here. subtle and classy. the only thing i don’t like is the Akshay’s translucent kurta – I love the fabric, but he should have worn something underneath, IMO.
Love them both here.However there is nothing wrong in wearing a glamorous sari for a wedding.After all that is the only time you can get away with wearing such a sari.

Awww sooo pretty :) Personally, when it comes to traditional wear, I MUCH prefer the non-flashy stuff- the flashy stuff is hard to pull off without looking tawdry.
They both look great, a bit matchy, but awesome enough individually for me to not make a big deal out of it.

Twinkle is hands down the most stylish celeb featured on HHC. She shows us time and again that style is about understated elegance rather than flaunting designer stuff. I can so imagine anyone else pairing this dress with blingy golden shoes and a clutch but it is attention to little details like these that make Twinkle the fashion diva that she is.
Plus not many can drape their dupattas the way she does. So classy!

Wow, I almost feel bad to break up the Twinkle lovefest. I think she looks good, not awesome, just good. The look is a little too understated for a wedding and doesn’t necessarily make it classy, they both look a bit messy and under-dressed in my opinion.
