High Heel Confidential

In Twos

Ms. Kapoor has had a great run so far at fashion week. Unfortunately, can’t say the same about the two looks below. Maybe it’s these pics but even after seeing some other pics (see here and here), we still aren’t feeling it.

Props, though, for going traditional in the Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla at the Cavalli dinner.

I think she looks stunning in the black sequined dress. Same with the Abu-Jani Khosla whathaveyou dress but there is something amiss with that look

  2. A. says:

im not crazy about her D&G look, but she looked really elegant and well turned up for the cavalli dinner. She’s wearing beautiful jewelry too. I dont think there is anything wrong with the look. Abu Jani and Sandeep are awesome.

    • kasthuri says:

I too prefer the indian look over the Cavalli look (which we have seen a 1000 times before). But with the Abu Jani outfit, i would have liked each piece paired with something plainer. Togther they are rather “heavy”. But still, she looks lovely in it.

      • Kanchanmasi says:

LOVE the Abu Sandeep dress! Like seriously love! Major props for wearing traditional. Beats that horrendous Masaba disaster she wore Cannes.

  3. diba says:

sorry its really bad … reminds me of kashmiri curtains !

  4. eena says:

somehow i like the d&g cocktail dress on her with the lip color :)

  5. Suhani says:

Is the black dress same as the DVF dress Anna Faris wore to the Oscars?

  6. clotheswhore says:

love her look at the d&g party!her lips look fab n the whole look is just …well…..fab!

  7. KJ says:

The concealer is off in the first one and the dress has too much going on. Not liking the silhouette. Second one has odd shape but her make up is nice.

  8. R says:

The looks are fantastic, very situation appropriate!
Only qualm: Lip color at D&G, good only in theory.

  9. Kiwi says:

Love both the looks! how great is her makeup in the 2nd pic?

  10. Ritu says:

Thumbs up for Abu sandeep….. The d&g look is ok…. The hairstyle doesn’t do much for sonam…. She tried this curly hair look in Aisha also but I guess it doesn’t suit her:(

  11. priya says:

    she looks good..
thought it takes time to feel the first look..
the second one is an instant fav., the lips does all the magic u know!!

  12. Slc says:

I just like the fact she has experimented with her outfits, make-up, hair throughout the trip and has managed to look fab as well.

  13. Lalitha says:

I love her Abu Sandeep coat…she looks lovely in that, the colours ae beautiful. I am not so wild about the black dress…kind of meh.

  14. dn says:

I like the Cavalli dinner outfit, the other one is average, nothing special, and the lips are too dark.

  15. Getto says:

The black one is way better

  16. Saki says:

i think the second look is quite good. the lips and hair are wow. i wish she had opted for a less glittery clutch, though.

  17. sara says:

I like the dress on the left. Classic kashmiri gown, but with longer length

  18. Ratna says:

I like the look at the Cavalli dinner rmuch more than her front row looks (which were boring runway copies).

  19. wannabe says:

The Cavalli dinner look reminds me of the Singapore Airlines stewardess uniform..not very Indian really :)

  20. leonine lion says:

i thinks she looks great in both, the first is risque, but she pulls it off and in the second look she looks great. hair and makeup is flawless

  21. just me says:

Just did a double take at the first pic…Sonam looks just like Kim Kardashian in that! And that’s not a compliment – just OTT make up. I think she’s trying too hard in some of these outings…but whether I like all her ‘looks’ or not (in fact I distinctly dislike some of her looks!) I have to give her props for that irrepressible smile that she -usually- has and just an overall air of confidence she possesses that is very attractive.

  22. sweet2th27@yahoo.com says:

I love that black dress. everything is perfect, from the dress to the shade of lipstick.

  23. suzy q says:

I think Sonam pulls of the center-parted low bun very well. It suits her bone structure.

Aishwarya did something similar at Cannes a couple of years ago (she was wearing the champagne net Sabya sari with the black velvet blouse), and her hair looked terrible….her face is wide, not long or angular.

  24. bozo says:

She works for Singapore Airlines now? :P

  25. Rita says:

I just realised that she often chooses to hide her arms by wearing this long sleeve outfits. her face is amazing.

  26. I actually like both looks on her, though I’d say I prefer the black sequined dress more

  27. Kara says:

I think these 2 looks are the best so far. Love Sonam!

  28. jest reading says:

i like her look in indian , not feeling the black shiny look though

  29. Food poisoned attorney says:

I like both outfits esp the first one, except bit on the fence with the lipstick on the second one.

  30. vandana says:

O I think she works both looks really well, actually!

  31. Archana says:

I think she looks great. She manages to change it up – she is neither boring nor is she predictable. The Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla outfit is a bit much for my liking but Sonam manages to pull it off!

  32. T says:

Hahaha ok i thought of a Kashmiri curtain too when i saw the Abu-Jani Sandeep Khosla ‘dress’ ! :P .. Which is a shame because they top my favourite designers list alongwith Sabyaschi <3

She looks like a vixen off to do her one good deed in the black sequinned D & dress. Major props for the hair and for (relatively) going jewellery-less.
