It is not a Kanjeevaram but one of the weaves from AP.

It’s a beautiful saree but it’s a shame some designer calls it his creation, it’s an Uppada weave and boatloads of these can be found all over good stores in the south of India. It’s an even bigger shame that these filmy folks will wear it the moment it has a designer tag on it but not otherwise. she does look lovely and wears it well. The earrings, pink bindi and hair not so great though.

It’s so awful that this designer makes run of the mill kanjeevaram and traditional weave sarees ,that are exactly available in any south Indian traditional saree outlets.I mean why call designer sarees?what’s the designer and unique feature? And it’s shocking that LFW prsents many such designers who lack originality.
