Mallika at Cannes 2011: Art Of Elysium 3rd Annual Paradis Event

It was more lace for Ms. Sherawat, this time in the form of an Alexander Mcqueen dress paired with some sky-high black pumps.

You’ll remember seeing a variation of this dress on Freida first last year. Question is, who do you think wears their version better?

  1. omg! i never knew that i would be saying this but it is Mallika’s dress and that’s the only thing. The hair, the simplicity and the elegance of Freida is a super like. This horror meets comedy kind of smile which Mallika wears 24×7 is just annoying, to put things simply.

    • Totally agree. Freida looks so washed out and tired next to Mallika… not saying that there is anything okay about Mallika’s ridiculous smile, though…

  7. I’m so so so so so confused !!! why does she do this….i understand consistency is not her zone but if she can keep her hairstyle/makeup/pose consistent and repetitive why cant she atleast keep her looks in the same flow… what i mean to say is one day she wears an elegant/classy dress while another time she is wearing something totally outrageous. and the worst part is she fails in carrying both the types…sometimes hse goes for those beautiful shahab durazi creations which fit her beautifully while the other time she is reminiscent of katy- perry’eque in the black nmbr she wore at cannes…outrageously CONFUSED – HER not me ;-)

  8. i Love Frieda Pinto and her sartorial choices and she looks an absolute charmer in this white MCwueen, having said that i think this one has to go to Mallika, she can translate lace with her body and in a sexy way. no two ways about it. honest.

  9. I just dont like Maillka’s hair and make up. Period. Here or otherwise. Too dated for me! Frieda does look lovely and fresh!

  10. Mallika: Take a good look at me, y’all. I am wearing something that is not black, not sheer, not short, and completely devoid of any cut-outs/enhancers/pads!! Why, I could walk down the road unrecognized in this. Wait, maybe I should go change.

  13. Okay, maybe I’m being too un-PC but I like the way Pinto’s skin looks in the dress. It’s all glowy and contrasty with the dress though the dress upon a closer inspection on mallika is horrendous.. The kaam on it like one of my grandma’s bed sheets..

  14. I hate to mention this because i love Freida so much but truth be told, Freida at a closer look channels housekeeping, i mean she looks a little like a house maid, shucks, i think its the dress.
