God how gorgeous is this woman!!! Love love love her!!!!
Yes the second saree is awful but with that smile and grace, who cares. I am sure nobody would have cared about what she wore when she started dancing. She is an absolute vision in the first one. Please ID the saree.

My thoughts exactly! She is GORGEOUS!

Agree with u, even the 2nd saree looks good on her.
Her smile is so full of life and she looks so happy & energetic when she smiles.

Umm…I feel like the first one is a Sabya…got all the elements…that design is sooo Sabya…I wonder :D

      1. Mash at | | Reply

On the contrary, I’m convinced it’s NOT a sabya!

    4. kasthuri at | | Reply

yeah , with that magnificent smile, what she wears is secondary !
Ofcourse, in the first one she looks awesome. One lady who knows how to wear a saree properly without boob shows, with neat pleating and long enough pallu.

Doesn’t it say both sarees are by ana singh? I’m sorry theres no way that top one looks like a Sabyasachi, a poor imitation of one maybe. I wish Madhuri would wear more handloom stuff actually, rather than these ‘designer’ numbers, I think it would make her look far more elegant.

      100% agree with you! :D

beauty is in the eye of beholder..so she looks pretty to me in any avatar

OH MY GOD!!! Bollywood has really lost a gem with her away in U.S.A :(
She has just brighten up your blog page! Stunninggggg!

OMG…. she looks gorgeous. just adorable.
Who cares about the saree when u have that smile.
no aish or deepika compares to this gorgeous woman.

    WOW Stunning WOW

  5. voldemort at | | Reply

gorgeous? really? hmm. idk, she looks okay for her age? thats the best i can give her.

    1. RS at | | Reply

Yes Voldemort, though you were mean to Harry Potter I have to agree with you on this one. She looks just about ok. Average. Stunning would be what Sridevi is at her age. Also anyone els think Madhuri looks kinda dated in that hair style? Can’t she do something else with her hair? It seems to be the same from her “Dil” days.

    2. KS at | | Reply

      But you are voldemort.
      you are evil.
you dont like good people .
      you kill good people.

  6. annie at | | Reply

seriously? I don’t know what you guys mean by gorgeous. She looks like an average indian housewife to me. The hair/style are so nineties and her accent is such a put off :(

Madhuri is a beautiful woman but I don’t like either of the sarees. It looks a bit overdone to me. She is lovely and perhaps a simpler, less busy would have suited her better?

  8. skippy pea at | | Reply

Absolutely Gorg. She has a smile that can light up everything!

  9. precious at | | Reply

oh come on! get over her already! she is pretty and graceful and has a stunning smile but is no fashion icon.

    1. pree at | | Reply

      fashion diva-no

  10. bfanatic at | | Reply

GORGEOUS most definitely…but is it just me or has madhuri had a nose job?

  11. ss at | | Reply

She looks nice for her age and certainly has a lovely smile. But can’t categorize her as “gorgeous”.

  12. anubha at | | Reply

on the contrary, imho she looks nicer in the second saree. The net of the first saree is way too sheer to be graceful.

  13. veenu at | | Reply

I mean she was never known for her dress sense, so by that standard sarees are just fine, but then she is MADHURI, she looks divine irrespective of what she wears!

  14. Anita at | | Reply

Love this lady, such grace. Really really want to see her in classic traditional weaves in the JDJ show instead of the patented embroidered and sequined saris.

  15. ash at | | Reply

Her taste in sarees is atrocious but her smile makes up for it!

  16. J at | | Reply

Ana Singh??? The first saree is sooooo Sabya but I knew something was off with that tacky blouse. How can someone copy so blatantly though.

  17. shilpi at | | Reply

the style, the grace , the persona , no one can stand next to her ..she has still got it all

  18. Sam at | | Reply

She look awesome in both saries, but that smile on her face is giving energy to others to live life in full!

  19. Zaardinah at | | Reply

I checked into this blog almost after a month (thanks to my excruciating end semesters) BUT MY MONTH LONG RESTRAINT BORE FRUIT….ITS BEEN EONS SINCE You’ll LAST FEATURED MADHURI…THANK YOU P N P I almost skipped a beat…need some time to stabilize :P

  20. amber at | | Reply

She looks lovely! That smile makes anything work although gotta agree that one sari is definitely lovelier than the other!

    ooooooooooooooooo my goddddddddd
she is the goddess, she should do more movies. there is nobody like her………………..

  22. NR at | | Reply

Oh God!!! I love her..n lover her wearing just about anything..she’s above and beyond any dress..

  23. AnnMMMM at | | Reply

    oh that smile!!!

the first saree seems sabya “wannabe”

her choice in clothes was always weird but who cares…that million dollar smile!

  24. charan at | | Reply

I personally like the second saree… its very modern looking. Good to see Madhuri!

  25. Fashion Please! at | | Reply

She should have worn a saree which would have concealed her protruding tummy, not a transparent one which highlights it.

if i have one idol in bollywood,,it is Madhuri Dixit..been dancing to her tunes since a child adn still can’t stop..don’t intend to either..and i think pple are being very generous when they say she looks good in anything but i think a gorgeous confident women like her still needs to have a good dressing as well, i think she would look ethereal if she chooses her outfits a small bit more wisely….no offense to the woman herself..love her always:)

Madhuri looks like a lovely housewife glammed up for the annual party. That has its charm. Stunning, no, she is not. But very, very pleasant to the eye. This is what the girls next door feel on the day when they go out. So the designer has catered to the common glam which makes all girls feel like queens.

LOVE Madhuri– charming as always! Having said that, this episode shoudl be titled “when bad clothes happen to beautiful people.” Amarsons and Seasons in Bombay carry sarees like these a dime a dozen

I adore her, she is such an amazing dancer. I am so thrilled to see nice photos of her doing something and seen out and about. I like the color of the top half of the first saree, those warm peach type shades or whatever that colors that would be called, looks lovely on her. Top saree has been draped very nicely also. I hope she will continue to make appearances in movies like Hema Malini has done, it will really be so cool if she does that.

Still the best! Looks divine. And that smile- ravishing!

  32. junoesque at | | Reply

her curves only add to her ! she looks lush and alluring and i sound like a drooling man.. !! LOL !! the adore sari is pretty sabyasachi-ish …
