Though it’s a nice editorial, I cannot understand what Lara Dutta has achieved to be on the cover of Harpers India.. A Kareena Kapoor I can unedrstand, so they also get the oppurtunity to do a feature on her… once in while, but this may aswell be a model.
I don’t see the need or the attraction in the terms of how these ladies are linked with fashion or have achieved something worthy to be on the cover of a magazine with such a legacy.
The public and magazines themselves are seriously delusional in the way they view and project ”celebrity’ and this culture they’re creating is not productive or progressive in terms of Fashion or in terms of society… Huh… I dunno.
umm….since when is being an articulate,intelligent and beautiful woman (for anyone who has heard her speak, you’ll realize she’s a far cry from most simpering, fake Bollywood actresses) as well as a Miss Universe and a bollywood actress considered not acheiving much?

kaya have you heard katrina, or kareena or any other bollywood actresses give an interview (they can’t talk to save their lives).
and what achievements can kareena boast of besides being a kapoor. all she ever does is bad mouth other actresses.

I think the shots of lara in the indian designers’ outfits have come out so much better than the duplicated louis vuitton shots. Goes to show that sometimes originality and simplicity wins over.

I think it’s because the LV outfits are out of a catalog and what works on a catalog isn’t necessarily very impressive as a photo spread

amazing pictures esp. that wooden bench one!! 2-3 years back people had started writing her off but see how she emerged as a strong contender amongst other newbies in bollywood! Kudos to her for that! She definitely has a class of her own!

This is such a fab shoot-when I bought the mag, i spent 30 mins just poring over this shoot-she is classier than Kareen, who is too filmy
I think she looks fierce! in each and every one of the shots – and it looks real as Lara is that elegant and confident in real life and that’s the reason the shoot does not come across as fake (with fake posing and pouting et al)
WOW…she looks amazing! The only picture I don’t like is the one where shez wearing the white & yellow dress – too washed out with the white background! Wish they had black or brown bed linens!
