Kareena In Vogue India: Decoded
November 26th, 2009 at 4:58 pm . by PayalWhile her previous Vogue shoot was more diverse (in terms of styling and choices of outfit), the December shoot has Kareena in lots of sequin. If the red ‘Armaan by Sunaina Puri’ dress looks familiar, it is because she wore it to the Karan Johar show at HDIL Couture Week. We guess she got to keep it, except, we’d have loved to see her in that Manish Arora though! :P

All the pictures….the same expression….SAME…
No, the first picture has a small hint of a smile and the rest are the same damn *boring* expression! For once, I thought, the models looked better than her because she is way too skinny! The outfits are good, but they’d've been better if they’d've been carried off by curvier women!
VERDICT — Outfits–7/10 | On Kareena–4/10
She loooks hungry and starved! Fierce is good but this is well hmm
LOVE LOVE LOVE the outfits, especially the manish arora! Not sure why the bolly crowd still hasn’t really worn m.arora’s clothes or naeem khans….

Love the Versace dress and Sunaina Puri red number. Will need to lose more than half of Koel to pull that off though !!
Oh my gosh.. is this the same Kareena?? Just watced Refugee and she looked beautiful, so glowing and full of life. She looks a bag of bones here, the first pic esp makes her look emaciated. The Versace dress is stunninf though, I like the colour on her. Also love the ankle boots.

I agree, I think she looks AMAZING and I’m usually quite the anti-kareena. Love these pictures, especially the middle one in the bottom most row..she looks smokin’ in all of them! LOVE LOVE LOVE
MW & Versace dresses are both cute , as for kareena the only thing that works for her is her eye makeup, otherwise her expression + body + clothes are not in sync with each other which instantly puts you off
dun know why but the look in chanel … reminds me of vampires in twilight, n love kareena n vampires !!! :D nice ones !!!

not fond of the manish arora though … i think i’m the only one, but i’m not a fan of manish … some of his pieces i like but mostly he is just too eccentric for my taste. its less edgy more crazy. i would never put him on my wish
The first thought that came to mind was-’this is gonna give me nightmares-why did I come to this site so late at night’? No lies. She looks scary. Can’t believe that massive resources were probably-actually utilized to create this hideous shoot.
Am posting after the longest time. Don’t yu guys see that photoshopping of the hand in pic 4 and legs in pic 7. Those limbs are not hers!

Fab. Though versatility in expression would be appreciated. Creativity guys!!! But then one doesn’t expect that from Vogue India.

Btw this is one of the most wearable Manish Arora pieces I’ve seen. Nice.. would give it a try.
I must confess I have a soft spot for Kareena as an actress but the Lara pics set the bar so high that this cover really doesn’t do much – just proof that all the photoshopping in the world doesn’t help.

Our Lady of Zero Land looks like she had a bad bout of food poisoning while the photographer was just so inspired by her pain!
The last photo: Stomach cramps, the one over that:staggering out of the loo after half an hour of loosies, the one over this one: stomach cramps again. Next, trying to be glam while unable to get up from the pot, and finally, the very first photo: Kareena giving the come hither looks to the ambulance guys who are approaching with a needle and a bottle of saline drip.
Dehydration, it’s so high fashion.

Hahahahha! I don’t know if you watch America’s next top model, but there was one episode some time ago, where Tyra Banks was teaching the girls to pose as if you were in pain – apparently that IS considered to be high fashion! LOL!!

Is vogue running out of ideas? i don’t usually buy fashion mags (the net is more eco friendly!) but i know that vogue comes up with really creative editorials and concepts…putting up a famous actor/model in front of a white screen doesn’t seem very innovative.
They can blame the recession …but im not buying it! V.India needs to step it up!
i seem to be in minority here.. but i just love her look in this feature. its very international. Her eye make up and hair is so carefully careless, its beautiful. I love the matthew williamson dress on her. And id like to add that she does not HAVE to change her expression in every photograph!! Its not an acting showcase here.. she needs to define and underline the clothes. Well done kareena!

I’m a bad judge when it comes to covers. I want to say she looks fierce but then in the back of my mind I’m wondering if her effort to look ‘fierce’ is highly transparent? Can’t decide. Anyway, her persona in the Manish Arora reminds me of Sonam Kapoor.

I am sorry but they need to shoot the stylist. Bebo has very masculine features, they need to soften it not exaggerate it so much she looks like a drag. Love the dresses. Bebo is trying too much here, and ends up looking as a drag! She looks sick and sad… The fall of star*

Kareena I think has failed to carry this kind of look. She looks damn scary in the first few pics…it’s like someone sucked all the blood out of her! The last 3 pics are better…I still prefer her princess look in HiBlitz.
She looks like she’s sick or something! I wish they had enhanced her skin tone to look a bit more natural rather then making her look like a ghost! She could be used as one of the actors for a haunted house with that look.
what a waste. apart from the final 3 images the rest looks horrible. Is it just the quality of the images in the first two cases.. or are they really shot like that? fierce, edgy.. i don’t think so.
