Freida and Dev at The Golden Globes: A First Look

I love this color on her but I hate the draping of this strapless gown. Why, Freida, why!

maybe its cuz i was learning about the anatomy of the pelvis today, but the foldings on that dress in the pelvic region really reminds me of the diagram in my anatomy text book!!! oh dear…

this is so disappointing…she looks like she’s wearing a lampshade…why frieda, why? she has been wearing such gorgeous dresses so far..honestly i don’t even like the color too much…maybe she will do better at the Oscars..i hope she reads this blog! On the other hand, Dev looks dapper!

The draping of the dress is all wrong. But still, she looks amazing.
She was going for a greco-drape theme like her previous one? Too bad. Don’t like the color either. Poop color. lol.
In all this Freida disappointment…I must say Dev looks handsome!

The colour is ok, but the draping is terrible. She would have been better off in the Marchesa frock she wore in Dubai or a sari.

Some idiot must have dressed her and told her how absolutely stunning the color looks with her skintone in the dim lights of a hotel room :/ Yes, the color is great…but any color would be fine! Why such a piece-of-crap dress? This girl could have worn anything! I even prefer that grey sari number she wore to something over this mess :/ She should have done an up-do or at least had full curls or full-straight hair..something! :/ This will probably be the first and last time we’ll see her here and she had to go and wear this disappointing dress :/ Maaaaaan
Okay, she looks nice while sitting down, saw a glimpse of her when Simon won the award, and because of her smile, she looked lovely. Love the colour, gown looks okay from side, but awful front. Even my hubby pointed it out!!

Mads – SRK and Freida came up on the stage to talk about Slumdog Millionaire being nominated and then they showed a clip of the movie. That was about it. Don’t worry…you didnt miss much. He looked good but absolutely ridiculous with the weird sequined tie tucked into his shirt.

That is a stunning gown on the runway but it doesnt seem to translate well onto the runway or perhaps it just doesnt suit Freida. Lacroix is a master at his craft..I think one of you mentioned the model looks almost comical (his shows tend to be more of art experience) thats because he was a costume designer before becoming a fashion designer!
I like the colour, a bit unsure about the rest of the dress, but she seems to have made to loads of best dressed lists for this one. Probably something we can’t see?
i was just going to say what sharms just said..frieda made it to loads of the best dressed list..i think it’s more because she is such a charming and pretty young woman..she can even make a lampshade (which is what i think the dress she wore yesterday resembled) look good! I say good for her!
That dress is fantastic to say the least, the drape looks so flowy and soft on the runway…its SUCH a shame its done wrong on Frieda…as someone else said, it reminds me of a particular anatomy picture too..!Also reminds me of Ash’s pink dress done wrong at Cannes, observing the bottom of her dress.
umm…..since its christian lacroix i guess I cant complain!!! I’m actually thanking god tht it was’nt deepika wearing this….it wd have looked ten times worse…moreover frieda makes even a scak work!!!

i love the dress..and the fact that she made a bold choice.. it is almost like the academy awards when tilda swindon was blasted for wearing the one-shouldered Lanvin Drape.
Not everything needs to look pretty, not everything needs to be Body Con. Sometimes alternative is all you need. for me this was a bold risk and a risk well taken. Bravo!
